ABOUT US

Here, I’ll tell you how MMarketeer started and why.

The story has had its ups and downs, with changes along the way, but I’ve always had my eyes set on moving forward.

I graduated as an Economist four years ago from the National University of Rosario and from the beginning of my career, I always imagined myself working in Finance but life had other plans for me. During my 20s, I went through different kind of industries and held different roles, but I never found that passion everyone talks about.

At the age of 27, I moved to Belgium, specifically Brussels, without ever having set foot on the European continent before. With a thousand fears and uncertainties, but always moving forward…

… It was there where everything began.

At first, all I could think about was why, as an economist, I didn’t enjoy what I «should» enjoy. Why wasn’t it as easy for me as it seemed to be for others who knew what they liked, or at least the field they wanted to specialize in? For years, I fooled myself into thinking that I liked finance as much as many of my peers did, that it was my thing too. But I wasn’t truly interested; I got bored and felt overwhelmed. I felt a huge void, and it’s a feeling I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. It’s awful to see so many people manage to work in something they love, or at least seem to.

However, staying in that feeling was wrong and, in a way, a comfortable way to live, until one day I said enough, and that’s when I took control of my life. It wasn’t easy, nor was it quick, but I was determined to find it. I spent a loads of time searching for what was truly mine, what ignited my inner self. After several attempts, I finally realized I really enjoy to work with people, and I was good at it. I’d like to clarify that being skilled at something and enjoying it aren’t always synonymous, but in my case, they were.

By exploring consumer psychology and observing their reactions to multiple marketing strategies, while also witnessing how companies ingeniously strive to make their product stand out amidst the competition,

I discovered my true passion.

Even though I found what I loved, the job search was anything but easy. I faced many rejections and received countless emails stating that while my profile was “interesting”, they had chosen to proceed with another candidate. It was then that I reflected deeply on how I could stand out. And that’s when it struck me: to create myself as my own product and showcase what I’m capable of.

The purpose of this blog is to showcase what I can do and what I’m looking for in my professional future. My goal is to find a position in the field of Marketing and Branding, with responsibilities in project management.

I am focused on finding that job, which, while likely far from perfect, will allow me to learn a lot and finally feel the way I always should have—useful and with a sense of purpose.

Love,
